Don't expect to receive everything for free, but Yum-Yum Recipes has enough going for it to make you want to utilize that in-app purchase to see more. It's a tasty compendium of recipes that will suit many, many different occasions and tastes.
Starting out, you have a choice of sections to delve into. Main courses are the most noticeable but you can easily switch over to meat and fish, salads, and appetizers, or browse recipes for specific holidays. In each case, a tasty looking image is what's going to lure you in initially, with a swipe down taking you to the recipe. Each recipe is laid out step-by-step with plenty of pictures, ensuring you should always know what you're meant to be doing next. It's clearly laid out, meaning it's ideal for placing next to you while you're cooking.
Browsing through the ingredients you need is just as simple too, with the items listed out clearly, along with tick boxes so you know what you've already got and what you need. There's a choice of metric or US measurements as well. Alongside such information is a rough estimate as to how long the meal will take to make, how many people it'll serve, and nutritional information. The latter is often left out in such apps, so it's good to see it here.
The free version offers a fairly substantial number of recipes to get you interested, while $9.99 buys you the full collection. That might sound expensive but Yum-Yum Recipes offers more than you'd expect from a recipe book. The free selection is sufficient to inform you of what to expect and many will be happy with what's there, but I still feel keen to unlock everything. There's a good variety of recipes here for many different occasions.
