Parents need to know that Animal Antics (for Families) allows parents and kids to record themselves narrating short stories together. In a variety of story settings, parents and kids take turns choosing facial expressions and voicing animal characters. If anyone's having trouble thinking of something to say, there are question prompts to help. The app is a large download, so make sure there's plenty of space on your device. Completed stories are saved locally in the app and parents need to allow the app to access the device's microphone. Parents and kids are meant to use Animal Antics (for Families) together to encourage talk and interaction. It's part of a suite of apps from the Harvard Graduate School of Education that aim to help support early literacy.
