Parents need to know that Don't Text Me is a free app that's meant to curb the growing problem of texting while driving. It's aimed at teens and easily-distracted adults, but works equally well for students who bring their phones to class. However, while admirable, the app doesn't actually prevent texts from coming through. Instead, it's serves as a broadcast service, letting friends and colleagues know that you'd simply prefer not to received texts.
