Now that Halloween is around the corner, I thought it would be a good time to let readers know about Pango Disguises. Although not solely a seasonal app, Pango Disguises includes charming dress-up themes as the main character – a friendly raccoon named Pango – and his animal friends wear many costumes and pretend to be different characters, such as a superhero, pirate, knight, dinosaur, or ghost.

7A Halloween scene is included with classic characters such as a witch or vampire, played by these friendly critter characters, and include a fun level of intensity one may expect that does not become too scary for toddlers and those of preschool age – a particularly nice moment for this time of year. I do enjoy how Pango and gang are seen throughout these pages dressed up in different garb – charming and sometimes witty moments that include details such as Pango having to remove a sword from a stone to complete his knight costume that will make adults smile as well as possibly stimulate children's creativity as they may come into possession of some new costumes at this time of year.

For those who do not know, Studio Pango has a series of Pango book apps designed to be read to children out loud by an adult. I do love the prompts that are included that explain how to interact with Pango, consisting of action words that children will also learn the meaning of such as to "Spin," "Fly," "Find," or "Throw," making these apps lovely choices for those who are learning English as a second language as well as for those who could use some practice with their listening skills. A bonus area of this app includes a chance for children to draw characters and other details found within this app.

4All the animals partake in dressing up in ways that include a few surprises along the way and I am quite fond of how these characters seem to really enjoy being a part of this app in ways that make Pango Disguises quite engaging and special. Mild yet utterly effective animated moments can be triggered within this app, but it is devoid of senseless motion and annoying sound effects, which I greatly appreciate.

From the clever special powers Pango possesses while being a superhero to seeing these characters imagined to be prehistoric creatures, there are too many cute moments to name. The love that has been infused by the developers at Studio Pango is quite evident, making Pango Disguises and other apps such as Pango Imaginary Car, Pango Playground, Pango Hide and Seek, or Pango Christmas Book 5 worth checking out as they will become quite possibly adult favorites as well.
