A lot or a little?
Parents need to know that Cocoon - A Space for Family is a micro-social-media platform for a small group -- up to six -- members. Family or friends need a code to join a cocoon and can only join one. A phone number is required when creating an account. The terms of service specify users should be 16 as the service is targeted for extended families of adults, but kids could definitely use it safely with supervision. Families could use it to share updates throughout their day, including location data, but users have control over the level of location they share -- from specific location to city-level or not at all. Push notification are non-invasive with no sound or vibration, intended to be noticed when you naturally pick up your phone. Read the developer's privacy policy for details on how your kid's information is collected, used, and shared and any choices you may have in the matter, and note that privacy policies and terms of service frequently change.
