Kwai - Video Social Network

A lot or a little?

Parents need to know that Kwai - Video Social Network has a questionable privacy policy and terms of service that specify users should be at least sixteen years old. In reality, when kids enter their birth date at registration, they are allowed to register if under 16 (and 13) with the qualifying statement to use it with parental supervision. Also, neither the terms of service nor the privacy policy is easily found in English as those linked in the app stores are not in English. The only options for sharing videos are public and self only. There are no options for friend-only accounts, and location data is used to show other users nearby -- which could present safety issues. Kids decide the privacy setting for each individual video. Read the developer's privacy policy for details on how your (or your kids') information is collected, used, and shared and any choices you may have in the matter, and note that privacy policies and terms of service frequently change.
