Monster vs Sheep is the kind of game you play when you just want to switch off and relax. What it lacks in depth it makes up for with stress relief. It won't be a game you remember for years (or even months) to come but it will satisfy you while you're there.
There's a Godzilla-style monster moving through the city and you have to stop it. Traveling from right to left, it inches ever nearer to the finish line and the total destruction of your city. What do you need to do to stop it? Throw sheep at it, of course. By flinging a sheep into its mouth, it slows it down a little and eventually causes it to be too full to want to do much else.
Flinging is done exactly how you would expect. You use a finger to drag and fling the sheep at the monster's open mouth. It's a simple mechanic but getting the trajectory right is what makes it a little trickier. There's also the matter that the monster isn't that stupid, often closing his mouth to dodge what you fling at it. The most satisfaction comes from when you time things perfectly, causing a sheep to ricochet off the top of the monster's mouth and land perfectly.
That's pretty much as deep as Monster vs Sheep gets, but it works quite well for it. There's no upgrade system, which also means no in-app purchases. Steadily, as you work your way through the levels, things get pretty tricky – often thanks to humans getting in the way and your need to be ever more accurate. It's those little things that mean that Monster vs Sheep, while pretty repetitive, still encourages you to come back for more every now and then.
