Titans is a real-time card battler that looks quite attractive. While some of the visuals are rather basic the artwork for each card is beautiful, and no matter how shallow that might sound it's stuff like that which will help you be interested in Titans early on. Once you're past that Honeymoon period though, you'll learn that it's a fairly basic game at heart.
You create weapons called Titans: huge living creatures formed from various materials that you collect. By controlling them, you can attack enemies and thereby acquire more materials to form even better Titans. It's a simple concept, and such simplicity continues throughout the game.
Each section of the map involves picking out a path to the exit, and seeing what such cards unleash. Often, you pick up new resources this way, but you also come across enemies to fight. Fighting is easily done with you selecting which Titan to attack before picking who performs the attack. There's not much strategy to it other than knowing when to use special moves, such as a healing spell, to boost your chances.
More fun is had outside of the fighting whereby you use acquired materials to level-up and enhance your Titans. Eventually you can make them evolve together to form even stronger creatures. Like with other card battlers, there's a great sense of satisfaction in putting together a decent band of fighters. However, in the case of Titans there's not much skill behind what you do with them.
On a simplistic level Titans is fun, but don't be surprised if you find yourself wanting more complex fare after a time, with luck and randomness playing too much of a role in how well you do.
