Super Drop Jam is a hectic game all about matching stacks of tiles up as quickly as possible. It uses the basics of cards to form a scoring system, but often you'll find it a little too simplistic to hold your attention for long.
The idea is remarkably simple. 5 tiles gradually drop from the top of the screen to the bottom. Each is numbered and colored accordingly. Below them are five tiles that you're able to place on top of the falling ones. You can go up or down one number in terms of placement, kind of like with Solitaire, with ace tiles match up with Kings or 2s.
The trick to Super Drop Jam is to try to create an easy run, such as by repeatedly switching between the same few numbers. You can clear existing falling tiles by simply tapping on them but more points are gained by accruing good runs of numbers. There's a time limit involved but this keeps going the longer you last and the more matches you make. Conveniently, when you go up a multiplier the action will slow down for a moment, giving you time to catch up with the chaos.
It's all quite simple yet fun, but Super Drop Jam never really evolves past that core ideal. You can formulate Supers, Super Drops, and a Super Drop Jam (hence the name), meaning more points, but the same rules still apply. There aren't any extra power-ups or bonuses to be found.
Still, Super Drop Jam is quite fun and works reasonably well as a high score chaser, but it doesn't have that 'one more go' factor that such titles need to remain on your iOS device for a long time. It'll prove to be a fun distraction while you play, but don't expect it to stick in your memory for a hugely long time to come.
