Are you having a bit of trouble coming in first? Is drifting around all those corners proving to be problematic? Check out our Reckless Racing 3 tips and tricks guide!
Reckless Racing 3 is here, with driving dynamics that are as satisfying and addictive as ever as spot-on traction physics meets fun-fueled racing.
There are 6 new and diverse locations that spawn 6 courses each, ensuring that players will still be kept guessing even though the backdrop might often remain the same. Combine that with the new Gymkhana event (specially laid-out courses that test driving skills), the same wealth of tweaks for controls and settings to enhance player experience, plus the recent addition of 4 reversible classic Reckless tracks, and what’s left is a driving game packed with features.
Whereas Arcade Mode is ideal for anyone just wanting to dive into the Reckless Racing experience with a designated vehicle already picked out for them, Career Mode is focused on progression as players accrue currency to unlock better and higher grade cars that can be used to enter tiered events.
Due to this classification system, the customization options in the garage are strictly superficial, so there’s no way to actually upgrade purchased vehicles. It’s not really a huge deal because it’s even more of a motivation to unlock and try out the other vehicles on offer. However, raising funds and progressing can take a while, making the dreaded in-app purchase shop be all the more tempting.
If they can get over the nonsensical decision to remove multiplayer options this time around, fans of the previous Reckless games won’t be disappointed with this sequel. A lot has been improved, from the beautiful and intricate level design to how smooth the handling feels, carefully balanced between chaotic and controlled. Each of the 28 vehicles are subtly different enough to ensure that they feel like are a new experience, rather than a novelty collectible, adding hours to this already addictive racer. Drifting might be this pony’s one trick, but it does it superbly.
