Parents need to know Influent is a language learning game for iOS devices. Three languages are currently available for free in Influent -- Korean, French, and Italian. More than 20 other options are available for $3.99 each. A tutorial walks kids through the basics of how the app works, and they get instruction fairly consistently as they move through the various language exercises. One exercise involves shooting, but kids aren't aiming at people. Although the game may not make them fluent speakers in another language, it provides some help learning vocabulary words and other aspects of Spanish, Japanese, and other languages.
