A lot or a little?
Parents need to know that Lobby - Team Up & Voice Chat is a social networking app designed to help users connect with others to play third-party games, watch YouTube videos, or hangout with others via real-time voice chats. During sign-up, kids are prompted to enter their birth date, allowing the app to determine their age and match them with other users around the same age. Kids also have the option to invite friends and connect their contacts. There aren't any instructions or tips on how to best navigate the app, but the tabs and buttons illustrate options. The app does offer step-by-step directions on how to team-up to play third-party games and find the necessary in-game private code. Both Lobby and the desired game need to be installed on the device in order for kids to play together in a private room on the third-party app. They'll remain connected to each other through Lobby in real time, which makes conversation and banter easy. The app currently supports team ups to play Among Us, Roblox, Fortnite, COD Mobile, PUBG Mobile, and Minecraft. Kids are invited to vote for games they want to see on the app in the future. The welcome message promotes friendliness and clearly states there's zero tolerance for harassment, racial slurs, hate speech, pornographic content, or disturbing content. However, families should use caution when enjoying the app since the real-time voice chats are unmoderated and kids may come across mature content, profanity, innuendo, sexual content, and negative comments about race, sexual orientation, body image, and identity. Read the developer's privacy policy for details on how your (or your kids') information is collected, used, and shared and any choices you may have in the matter, and note that privacy policies and terms of service frequently change.
