Sesame Street Yourself

A lot or a little?

Parents need to know that Sesame Street Yourself uses augmented reality (AR) to let kids feel like they're dressing up like and singing along with Sesame Street characters. Parents need to allow access to their device's camera for the AR features to work. Kids may need help holding and keeping the device so that camera captures their face and puts in the correct spot on the screen. Kids can watch and sing along with songs, play simple games, and dress up their face using masks and accessories (think Snapchat-like filters). The free download comes with the Let's Celebrate activity pack that includes one dress up game, one interactive game, two songs, and three masks. Additional themed activity packs are available for in-app purchases at $1.99 each or $7.99 for a package of five. Upon opening the app for the first time, parents must agree to the terms and conditions and the privacy policy. A simple summary lets parents know that any saved videos and photos are stored locally on your device; no data gets sent to the developer or any third party. Read the developer's privacy policy for details on how your (or your kids') information is collected, used, and shared and any choices you may have in the matter, and note that privacy policies and terms of service frequently change.
