Parents need to know that Stitchers: Hack the Case is a murder mystery game designed to promote the new ABC Family show Stitchers. But unlike a game based on a show like CSI or Law & Order, it's not bloody or gruesome: By watching interactive videos and examining photos, you try to solve a victim's murder. If you do, you'll be entered into a sweepstakes for, as ABC Family puts it, "…the chance to win a trip to Los Angeles where they will have an action figure created in their own image." The iTunes App Store states that the app is only for those 17 and up, though -- for better or worse -- many kids under 17 have already seen similar content, which is relatively mild in comparison to other crime shows.
