The required versions of OS for installing Younity is Android 4.1 or up, and iOS 9.0 or later. On iDevices it is compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Developer Entangled Media Corp. claims setting up the app is easy too. Younity works cross-platform, meaning you can connect your iOS, Android, Mac and PC simultaneously.

All the basic features of Younity come free and the current version is 1.13.7, which was updated on 12 December 2016. The app needs to be installed on all your computers as well as all the connected mobile devices from where you want to access the files. Just 56.3MB of space is required to download and run Younity. The languages supported in the app are English, French, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese and Spanish.

The free version offers unlimited access on a local network where as the premium service offers additional offline access, smart streaming and remote access, which means accessing one's photos, videos, music and other files from anywhere in the world is now possible with Younity. There's no need to sync your devices, nor configure any files in order to access them.

The premium service is made available via in-app purchase and currently it costs just USD $2.99 per month, or a $30 Annual subscription. One can also try the app with the free 7 days trial. The subscriptions are renewed monthly and it can be managed from the Account Settings option. Turning off auto-renew there can be done any time within the period, but at least 24 hours before the subscription ends.

Talking about credibility of the app checking reviews is always a good idea. On Google's Play Store most of the reviews are positive and Younity is ranked Four Stars. Similarly on Apple's iTunes the rating is Four Stars.

It has not yet been revealed whether Younity will be made available on other operating systems like Microsoft's Windows Phone, but this is not a matter of concern as almost all mobile users across the world uses either Android or iOS smartphones.
